JCVD and Lance Henrickson feature in John Woo's debut Hollywood thriller, Hard Target. Despite not being able to convince Van Damme to listen to him on site, Woo directed a fantastic film. The movie was planned to be longer and focus on Henrickson's character, but excessive violence forced it to be re-edited multiple times.
